Winners and Top 3 of Challenge #30 - CAS

Wow, did we have some entries for this! How lovely they all were too. Some of you fellow Crafters really are masters of your craft (or should that be Mistresses!). I will confess right here and now that I took a lot of inspiration and ideas from entries in this challenge, so thanks to each one of you and if you recognise your style being reflected back - nowhere near as good - that is why!

CAS stands for Clean and Simple

It is being sponsored by

Our sole sponsor for this challenge is the wonderful Pickled Potpourri - you can still  hop on over to check out their shop...

The winner of this challenge will receive: a $ 7.00 voucher to spend in the shop!

And that would you you Skye #46

Hilde says: I really like the simplistic approach to the card, and using finger prints for the birds I thought very clever...

Congratulations Skye; if you go to the top of this page and find the page called 'Winners/Contact Details' you can contact us regarding your prize. You are also encouraged to collect the winner's badge from the side bar (copy/paste) and display it on your blog!

Now, with all those lovely entries, our TOP THREE provided Sammy with quite a task this week to choose some winners but she settled on:

I simply love everything about this card. The colours, the jaunty angles of the layers, the stunning hand-drawn fruit... Gorgeous!

I really love CAS cards with an image in the corner and the rest white, and this is such a fab image too. And I love the matching inside and envelope!
(ED: I like the sentiment! LOL)

I love the bright pinks on the kraft background. They're simple, yet elegant and a perfect way to say thank you.

So, ladies, Congratulations again and please feel free to copy/paste the TOP THEE badge from the side bar and brag! You deserve it!

Now, remember that we have alternating card and other challenges each fortnight and we have just had our card one so the next one has to be 'other'!

Challenge #29: Winners Post

Hello to all our loyal followers. How are you all coping now Germany has won the World Cup? Congratulations to them and commiserations to everyone else! On to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow! My Grandfather came from there and it is such a pretty city now they have cleaned up all the sandstone buildings. I really like their City Hall - that staircase! So antebellum! I can see me sweeping down it in crinolines and lots of petticoats! Of, course, I would have Mr Darcy at the bottom waiting for me - not Mr "Frankly, I don't give a damn!". We can but dream.....

Time to post who won the lovely prizes for Challenge #29, donated by our sponsors! Last challenge we asked you to create

Apparently it was a bit too challenging, as we only had three entries.

Winner's Blog for Challenge #28: Zentangle Card Challenge

Well, Hello Peeps and welcome to our Challenge Blog - this is our post mid-fortnight to announce the winners of the previous Challenge and any other news there is.......

Last Challenge was to Zentangle  and then to create a Black and White card using that tangle: you could tangle freehand or within a digi or other stamp outline, as many of our DT team did - we had fun too and some of us are still 'tangelling' as a result of this challenge - and so are many others out there in blog land, but unfortunately, not many crafters did it for this challenge!

Our sponsor for this amazing challenge were

Winner will receive 3 Digis of their choice

That's you @ Marianne's Craftroom

Really love the way the special number birthday was framed and the black and white Zentangle was made the centre of attention. ( great patterns too)

AND

Winner will receive 7 Digis of their choice
That's you No#5 AJ
Really like the simplicity of the card designs and that each one had a different Zentangle pattern. Very nice.

SPECIAL MENTION - TOP ONE

This has been chosen by Tania
 # 3: Cards and Cats

How cool is that one! Love those owls!

Ladies, Congratulations to you all - please contact us via the tab at the top of this page, and don't forget to collect your badge and display it proudly! Remember, we are looking for Guest Designers as well so if you are keen, let us know asap!

Well, what are we up to this fortnight?

Challenge # 29 : ATC's or Artist Trading Cards - a group/set of 3

In this challenge we are asking you to create 3 ATC's, as a group or a set......that means they match.
If you think phhhffttt, not going to do this one, please re consider, because even if you are not an ATC fan, they do make the perfect card toppers.....so please, give them a go...

What exactly IS an ATC?

An artist trading card (or ATC for short) is a tiny, original piece of art created with the intention of swapping or trading it with another artist, not selling it. Today, people make them and use them as toppers for cards. The one rule an artist trading card must adhere to is the size. An ATC must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches or 64 x 89 mm. Click here for some more basic info on them.

Again, we have two wonderful Sponsors for this challenge:

Pickled Potpourri

Winner ONE will receive a voucher of $7.00 to spend in the store

and QKR

Winner TWO will receive 3 Digis of their choice

The DT had a ball making these, why not go and have a look if you haven't seen them yet. Then you can show us what you come up with - I know many of you have been making these for yonks! Why not share your skills and who knows, you could be a winner!

Remember, be a member of our blog to be eligible for the prize.
